Woman Writing

My writing

I'm working on it! More coming soon ...

To date I've been fortunate enough to have my writing praised and acknowledged in a number of different writing forums: I won the First Pages prize of the Historical Novels Society of Australasia (2017) and my short story 'Fare the well' has recently been shortlisted at the HNSA Conference and is being published in Backstory e-magazine; my manuscript 'The Book Lovers'  was longlisted for the Richell Award (Hachette) in 2018; and I also won a mentorship through the Australian Society of Authors with the same manuscript this year.

These  wonderful opportunities have encouraged me to keep working on my writing craft and develop my works-in-progress. Although my writing tends to be historically-inspired, I have written in a variety of genres and continue to be interested in reading and writing across the literary spectrum.

Previously, I've blogged with some wonderful friends from the Romance Writers of Australia for the RWA website, and I have also written some small social media pieces for the Historical Novels Society of Australasia (HNSA). You can find some of these pieces on my blogs page.

If you would like to hear more about my writing, please feel free to subscribe to my quarterly newsletter.

Best wishes,

Lou
